Canada Interactive Fund Deadline A Month Away

The deadline for the 2010-2011 Call for Proposals is July 15, 2010 at midnight PST.

The objective of the Canada Interactive Fund is to support the creation of online Canadian interactive content and applications developed by Official Language Minority Community (OLMC), Aboriginal, ethnocultural and other not-for-profit cultural organizations.

2010-2011 Call for Proposals

The Department of Canadian Heritage is launching a call for proposals under this fund to allow not-for-profit cultural organizations throughout Canada to succeed in the online media environment.

This call for proposals seeks to support projects that enhance interactive digital cultural content and applications, presented originally and creatively using the latest technologies and platforms. All projects must offer their target audience an interactive and enriching experience between the user and the content.

Who can apply?

Funding under the Canada Interactive Fund is available to:

  • OLMC, Aboriginal, ethnocultural and other not-for-profit cultural organizations;
  • First Nations Tribal Councils, Inuit organizations and Métis organizations;
  • Canadian educational institutions; and
  • Provincial/territorial or municipal government institutions, e.g. museums, cultural associations.
